Laddering Into a Position
Laddering means adding more contracts to an existing position at the same strikes. This increases your position size and collects additional premium.
You might ladder when:
- The stock has moved in your favor and you want to add to a winning position
- You want to increase premium collection on a position you're confident in
To ladder in Tradez, click the "Ladder" button from your campaign. The strikes are locked to your existing position — you only enter the new quantity, expiration, premium, and fees.
The campaign's capital at risk increases proportionally, and the break-even adjusts based on the combined position across all laddered trades.
